Today is Veterans’ Day. If you served our great nation as a member of our armed forces, thank you! There is a certain patriotism I believe is biblical, but we have lost in in large part. We should be appreciative for the freedom we have to gather without fear of our government trying to preside over church matters. Our military protects this wonderful liberty–giving us the freedom to openly celebrate a kingdom higher than that of our worldly government, the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. May there be more nations as time marches that bow to Jesus’s authority over their worldly politics, who care about bringing peace and justice to the earth under the leadership of King Jesus.
Thank you all for another great Sunday! We got to welcome a new member as we enjoyed our time together in song and in God’s word. Man God continue to bless the work of our hands as we continue taking His gospel forward! Thanks to anyone who helped us fee the Alex High School football team last week!
Here’s the sermon, if you missed it or want to share:
We have our regular activities this Wednesday for youth, children, and adults! I have the opportunity to present the lesson to our youth.
On Sunday, I will be in 1 Thessalonians 5:14-15 as we begin a mini series about thankfulness leading up to Advent.
Volunteers for this Sunday:
Nursery: Jill
Children’s Church: Tammy C.
If you would like to volunteer any Sunday, contact us or sign up on the sign-up sheets by the church office.
Remember, we will be participating in AMC’s living nativity. Please let us know if you would like to volunteer and have a part!
On Sunday, we also have our regularly scheduled monthly business meeting. We will discuss our deposit to reserve our Falls Creek cabin next summer for youth camp and other items if they are brought up.
