Finding your ministry at ASBC
Here at ASBC, we are intentionally not programmatic in our approach to ministry. While we do have some specialized activities, like youth and children’s, we take a different approach to plugging you in to a place of service. Since we don’t have “programs” per se, we look at your spiritual gifts and consider your desires as we find a place for you or start something new based on your gifting and desires. This gives us freedom as an organization to look like our members and community instead of trying to force the church to be a certain way. It also helps us to lift up each member according to the calling God has placed on his or her life. If you are called to preach or teach, you will get the opportunity here. If you are called to counsel, we will equip you and empower you. If you are called to provide for others, be an encouragement, cook, maintain, or anything else, we believe our pastors are commissioned by God to equip and empower each one in the congregation to fulfill his ministry in Christ. Thus, the ministry of ASBC is not about any pastor as the face of the church. The ministry of ASBC is the ministry of the people, by the people, for the people as gifted by the Holy Spirit to the glory of God the Father in Christ Jesus.
